Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its response. We do not retain or log those query terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept long enough to review and answer it. Messages remain within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Our servers receive routine technical details when a visitor loads a page:

Pierce County guidance identifies official custodians such as the sheriff, County Court, District Court, Nebraska State Patrol, and Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not used to create consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms govern submitted query data, along with their retention and sharing choices. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before sending a query.

Links may lead to the Pierce County Sheriff, Nebraska courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy rules apply. Read them before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to observe activity across websites and select ads. Their technology, not ours, performs that tracking.

Stat. §§84-712 through 84-712.09, governs public records held by government bodies, while §29-3523 limits dissemination of certain criminal history. Those laws do not convert this private resource into a government custodian. Subject to governing law, a visitor may:

- Ask that inaccurate visitor information be corrected
- Request deletion where the law permits it
